《火星怪人》又名《魔星下凡》。改編自 1938 年John W. Campbell的中篇小說《Who Goes There?》。電影情節是美國空軍機員和科學家，在北極冰層發現墜毀的飛碟和凍結的人形屍體。帶返研究前哨，屍體意外解凍時。他們被迫保護自己，免受仍然活著且惡意的外星人侵害。
