彼得奧圖(Peter O'Toole，1932–2013)以刻劃內心矛盾衝突的角色見長。十七歲時首度演出舞臺劇，曾接受英國皇家戲劇學校專業訓練。1962年演《阿拉伯的勞倫斯》，獲得奧斯卡最佳男主角獎提名。八度提名奧斯卡最佳男主角獎，皆落空。2003年獲頒奧斯卡終生成就獎。
